Summary: | FIELD: conveyor transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed high-angle belt conveyor has endless conveyor belt laid over drive and end drums and provided with hangers, each furnished with rollers installed for rolling along guides installed at both sides of conveyor. Conveyor is equipped with catchers installed in two rows symmetrically relative to run of belt. Hangers are provided with projections for engagement with catchers. Each catchers is made in form of rod stationary installed on axle in stationary secured frame of conveyor. Said axle is fitted in hole in middle part of rod. Catchers are installed in relatively parallel position with upper end tilted towards side of belt working movement to preclude their contact with projections of moving hangers. Catchers are installed for limited turning around their axle and for engagement by upper ends with projections of hangers at reverse movement of conveyor belt. Catchers installed in row are hinge-connected in lower part by tie-rods providing simultaneous turning of catchers around their axle to stop against frame and engagement with projections of hangers. Extreme catchers located in right-hand and left-hand rows at top are provided with spring-loaded stops. Said stops are installed for sliding by upper ends relative to projections of hangers at their operating movement and for engagement with stops at reverse movement. Possibility is provided for tightening of catcher axle to create friction torque at turning for damping impact load on conveyor belt in case of emergency stop.
