Summary:FIELD: medicine, gastroenterology. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with prophylaxis of chronic pancreatitis in case of excretory deficiency with the help of medicinal herbs. The method includes the base therapy with supplemental intake of combined herbal infusion containing elecampane roots, calendula flowers, common nettle leaves, great plantain leaves, Artemisia grass, cinnamon dog rose fruits, kidney bean pods, purple echinacea grass at the following ratio of components being 2 : 2 : 2 : 2 : 1 : 1 : 1 : 1 for 4 wk. The method enables to obtain a stable and prolonged remission, develop both excretory and incretory deficiencies of pancreatic function, correct motor-evacuatory disorders of gastrointestinal tract along with the immune disorders.
