Summary:steelmaking. SUBSTANCE: steel contains, wt %: carbon 0.05-0.10, silicon 0.3- 0.6, manganese 1.0-1.5, chromium 14.0-16.0, nickel 3.5-4.5, molybdenum 1.5-2.0, titanium 0.15-0.35, aluminum 0.02- 0.05, nitrogen 0.01-0.05, and iron - the balance. Ratio of nickel equivalent to chromium equivalent is expressed by following equation: Ni/Cr = [30(C+N)+Ni + 1.5Mn]/(Cr + Mo + 1.55Si + 4Ti + 3.5Al) and lies between 0.4 and 0.55. Content of trace elements do not exceed following values, wt %: sulfur 0.02, phosphorus 0.02, and copper 0.2. Steel can be used for pipelines operated in undersea production of minerals and oil. EFFECT: increased resistance against crevice and pitting corrosion, hydroabrasive wear at preserved level of resistance against intercrystallite corrosion, and corrosion cracking. 2 cl, 3 tbl
