Summary:nuclear power engineering; manufacture of fuel assemblies for nuclear reactors. SUBSTANCE: method involves installation of spacer grids with rings on supporting surface throughout entire length of fuel assembly being manufactured and equally spaced apart with spacer-grid rings arranged on supporting surface and attached to the latter for the time being; in addition pre-manufactured fields of assembled cells attached to each other so that axes of all cells be parallel to supporting structure are installed in inclined position relative to each ring on either side with certain opening angle in bottom part of ring; cellular fields are arranged in inclined position; after fuel rods are entered in all cells of fields the latter are joined together with fuel rods facing each other and the ring, cellular fields are passed into ring, secured therein in vertical position, and fuel rods are locked by means of inclined cells at points of their contact with ends of walls. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of locking fuel rods in spacer-grid cells, improved quality of assembly, reduced cost, augmented heat transfer. 1 cl, 4 dwg
