Summary: | quasi-spectrometric sources. SUBSTANCE: method involves multiple coating of aluminum foil with alcohol solution of radionuclide nitrate such as americium 241 doped with nitrocellulose dissolved in amyl acetate, drying, heat treatment in the open, cooling down, and mechanical treatment. Prior to coating aluminum foil with alcohol solution of radionuclide nitrate it is subjected to chemical polishing and anodic oxidation to obtain aluminum oxide film, 0.10 to 0.15 mcm thick, on one of its sides to form radionuclide layer on its surface and aluminum oxide layer, 10 to 15 mcm thick, on its other side. Alpha-ray source has substrate covered with alpha-ray radiator layer. Formed on substrate under alpha-ray radiator is aluminum oxide film layer, 0.10-0.15 mcm thick. Proposed alpha-ray source is noted for spread of activity not over alpha -10% of specified value. EFFECT: reduced spread of source activity. 3 cl, 3 dwg |
