Summary: | preparation of material having high sorption activity to hydrogen for storage and transportation thereof. SUBSTANCE: hydrogen absorber is made in the form of at least one macrodimensional body. Macrodimensional body contains more than 90 wt % of carbon and has dimensions ranging from 0.1 to 250 mm, and content of nanopores having dimensions from 0.8 to 3 mm varies from 20 to 60% by volume. Macrodimensional body further contain transport supports with size from 0.05 to 100 mcm in amount not higher than 50% by volume. Absorber contains at least one metal from group consisting of Pd, Pt, Ni, Ti, V, Fl, Co, Vb, Mo, Rh, Ta, W and alloys thereof. High sorption power of material with respect to hydrogen is attained.
