Summary: | mechanical engineering; welding. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method processing plates made of steel, thickness of 0.7-1.0 of cladding sheet and width equal to sheet overhang is welded to main sheet at one level with cleaned surface over entire perimeter. Surface of plates is cleaned to bright metal. Welding is done by intermittent weld with pitch exceeding 100 mm from side opposite to cladding. Assembled pack is placed in support at angle of 3-6 deg relative to horizon. Welding gap is filled with argon from lower side of pack. Upper part of support is made of layer of sand heated to 60-150 C. Cladding sheet protection layer is of definite composition. Plane front generator is arranged to provide spreading at angle of 3-10 deg relative to longer side of main sheet. EFFECT: provision of steel- titanium sheet of high quality with smooth and even strong edge without fusion faults, splits and cracks. 5 cl, 2 dwg, 1 ex |
