Summary: | drying process, applicable at wood-working plants, for example, in manufacture of wood particle boards. SUBSTANCE: nominal and the maximum allowable values of moisture content of crushed wood at the outlet of drum 1 are preset. The values of the temperature of flue gases, moisture content and consumption of the source material at the drum inlet, moisture content, temperature of crushed wood, rate of its variation at the drum outlet are measured with the aid of transducers 2,3,4,5,6,7. Units 14-22 convert the analog signals of the transducers into digital ones. Using the obtained signals, according to the mathematical models in extrapolator 25, the values of moisture content and temperature of crushed wood are computed at the drum outlet, the adequacy of models is tested in analyzer 26. In case of inadequacy even of one of the models the coefficients of the model equation are re-computed in adaptation unit 27. If the models are adequate, the rated values of moisture content, temperature of crushed wood at the drum outlet and the rates of variation of temperature of crushed wood at the drum outlet are used for formation of control actions in reverse model unit 30. The control actions are the consumption of the source material and the temperature of flue gases at the drum inlet, whose stabilization is effected by local regulators 9 and 12.
