Summary:detection of electromagnetic waves. SUBSTANCE: method recording electromagnetic waves emitted by melt, specifically, metal melt includes blow-through of gas to form gas-filled space, observation and evaluation of electromagnetic waves emitted by melt through blown gas and by transmission of electromagnetic waves through optical system to detector to determine temperature and/or chemical composition. To keep out false measurements emitted electromagnetic waves directed obliquely to optical axis of optical system and emitted by edge region of hollow space are excepted from recording by way of cleaning of emitted electromagnetic waves from electromagnetic waves directed obliquely to optical axis of optical system and located beyond limits of permissible radius around optical axis of optical system. For it these electromagnetic waves are deflected beyond optical axis by scattering unit of optical system so that electromagnetic waves more or less parallel to optical axis of optical system alone reach detector positioned after optical system and/or by movement of optical control system of optical axis of mentioned system relative to density till intensity of emitted electromagnetic waves reaches maximum value. EFFECT: exclusion of distortions. 26 cl, 11 dwg
