Summary:nuclear engineering; reconditioning spent fuel elements of reactors; disposal of radioactive and toxic wastes in other industries. SUBSTANCE: wastes are discharged from feeder and charged to transport pipeline followed by their conveying over the latter by means of pulsating compressed air producing cutoff wavelength; solid wastes possessing different physical and chemical properties are alternately charged in batches of lumps containing viscous residue and those free from such residue. Device implementing this method has feeder, transport pipeline (path) with nozzles connected to receivers and valves; in addition, it has at least one feeder and at least one transport pipeline, as well as intake vessels incorporating vertical, horizontal, and inclined pipe connections; feeders are connected to transport pipelines provided with path selectors through intake vessels. Device is noted for extended life expectancy and efficiency which makes it most suitable for use in radiochemical industry. EFFECT: improved reliability, facilitated maintenance, reduced material input and power requirement, improved labor conditions and safety. 6 cl, 2 dwg
