SUBSTANCE: buildup die unit has working hole in the form of two segments of annular gap between round die and needle mounted coaxially in working container. Tool assembly includes container, press plunger and buildup die unit having outer die, needle and their common supporting base, locking inserts dividing annular gap between die and needle by two segmental working holes. Metal of ingot placed in container is extruded through working ducts of buildup die in the form of two strips whose shape corresponds to that of segment of wall of the same tube. Both strips together with interleaving film are wound onto reel and packed in sealed containers. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, simplified design of tool unit. 1 cl, 2 dwg
