Summary:mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method may be used in underground upward and downward mining of kimberlite deposits by powered mining complex. Method involves sinking of shaft in central part of deposit. Driven in layer from central shaft designed for ore passing and servicing of powered mining complex is layer transportation chamber directed with its long axis along deposit strike in plan of the given layer. Mining is carried out by complex with its moving round shaft and layer transportation chamber. With powered mining complex moving over sides of layer transportation chamber, mining is carried out by parallel bands, and in end parts of layer transportation chamber, powered mining complex is moved over circular path, and mining is effected by radial wedge bands. Air-passage workings connecting breakage face of powered support with lower haulage horizon are driven before starting the stoping operations in block of contact zone of kimberlite deposit. EFFECT: complete extraction of ore in mining of deposits of complicated configuration in vertical plane. 2 cl, 6 dwg
