Summary:machine engineering, namely, manufacture of laminate honeycomb structures of titanium alloys. SUBSTANCE: method for making honeycomb filler of band material comprises steps of subjecting band to heat treatment by heating it with laser beam until temperature more than that of alpha _-> beta conversion; placing filler between layers of facing and performing diffusion welding of filler with sheets of facing; realizing heat treatment at moving band; focusing laser beam by means of cylindrical planoconvex lens having focal point in the form of rectangle whose length is equal to width of filler band and whose width is more than thickness of filler by 4-10 times; moving focal point with speed equal to that of band motion due to rotating mirror in the form of polygonal equilateral prism in such a way that interval between dash lines was more than thickness of filler by 6-20 times. At process of diffusion welding filler band remains stable during upsetting due to worked portions of band. Non-worked portions of band allow to form high-quality joint whose strength is equal to that of base material at welding along any surface. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of method.
