Summary:FIELD: oil-producing industry. SUBSTANCE: method may be used for prognostication of efficiency of geological and engineering measures in planning of operations for intensification of oil recovery from producing wells, and increase of infectivity of injection wells. Efficiency of geological and engineering measures in carbonate reservoirs is prognosticated by the method of rank classification. In so doing, sum of ranks of products of combined features of respective horizontal and vertical ranks and sequence of diminishing of rank significance and quantitative characteristics of each feature are taken into account. The method is selected by prognosticated combined value of increment of additional oil production. It includes approximation of well incremental produced oil volume-well current production rate curve before carrying out of geological and engineering measures, determination of value of ratio of maximum sum of ranks of prognosticated type of geological and engineering measure to mean value of ranks sum of preceding realized geological and engineering measures, and their comparison with ratio of calculated value of additionally produced oil of prognosticated type of geological and engineering measures on well to statistic average of value of additionally produced oil as a result of preceding geological and engineering measures on oil field. Expediency of performance of geological and engineering measures is governed by expected profitability and profit value with taking into account of additionally produced fluid and water cutting of well production. EFFECT: provided selection of the most optimal method and its assessment of technological and economic efficiency. 4 tbl
