Summary: | FIELD: building materials industry, more particularly, manufacture of high-temperature (up to 1000 C) heat insulation as industrial equipment plates. SUBSTANCE: raw mix comprises foamed vermiculite and refractory additive, and liquid glass. Refractory additive is finely dispersed material with refractoriness of at least 1300 C and particle size of not greater than 100 microns. Raw mix further comprises mineral fiber. Method comprises mixing of vermiculite with liquid glass and additive followed by pressing. Mixture of liquid glass with refractory additive is first prepared and vermiculite is then mixed with mixture. Plates are pressed at normal temperature of 10-30 C and pressure of 0.5-1.5 MPa for 1 or 2 min and plates are subsequently dried to mixture content of not higher than 3%. After pressing operation, plates are made hardened by flowing off with carbon dioxide for 10-60 s at pressure of 1-4 atm. High frequency current and super high frequency energy sources are used for drying the plates. EFFECT: improved properties. 6 cl, 2 tbl |
