Summary: | FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method of smelting of iron alloys in arc furnace includes charging into furnace of iron charge, oxidized iron ore pellets and fluxes, their smelting to obtain melt with preset chemical composition and its discharge. Metal charge and oxidized iron ore pellers are charged in form of solid charge stock produced from oxidized iron ore pellets poured with iron-carbon alloy. Molten metal is tapped the following amounts of its components, wt.%: carbon up to 3.8; silicon within 0.5; manganese within 0.05; and sulfur within 0.015. Melt with preset chemical composition is produced by regulation of composition and/or amount of oxidized iron ore pellets in charge stock. Ratio of amount of oxidizer iron-ore pellets to iron-carbonalloy in change stock is 1:(2-12). Iron-carbon alloy is used in form of alloy containing not more than 0.10 wt.% of manganese. Iron alloy is smelted in arc furnace with basic lining. Iron alloy containing more than 2.14 wt.% of carbon is inoculated with ferroalloys and alloying composition containing Fe, Mn, Si and Mg. EFFECT: reduced costs of pig iron and power consumption by 6-8%. 4 cl, 1 tbl |
