Summary: | FIELD: forestry, in particular, evaluating stock of trees on vast areas of unaccounted territories. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing the picture of large forest; dividing picture frame into patches; sequentially converting patch pictures into digital reading matrix of dependence of luminance on spatial coordinates; calculating stock of trees by statistic dependences of matrix signal parameters and taxation characteristics; separating within picture patch all local matrix maximums and calculating maximum parameters: radius from maximum luminance to points with zero luminance gradient or to points where luminance gradient changes its sign, perimeter, and area; counting the number of local maximums and identifying their average radius with tree crown radius; calculating average distance between each maximum and adjacent maximums across the whole large forest matrix; identifying this average distance with average distance between trees. Method allows reliable data on evaluation of stock of trees to be obtained by providing tree stock picture, as well as by calculating and using additional statistic parameter taking into account spatial morphology of stock of trees. EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing precise data. 3 dwg, 3 tbl, 1 ex |
