FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: present invention describes coloring polymeric polyolefin-based composition concentrates. Composition comprises coloring biological red prodigiosine pigment used for coloring polymers and materials based thereon. Present invention describes coloring polymeric composition concentrate comprising polyolefin and colorant. Colorant includes biological red prodigiosine pigment isolated by treating pigment- containing microbic biomass with ionic detergent and subsequently extracting pigment with polar organic solvent, ratio of components being as follows (wt %): polyolefin, 95.0-90.0; prodigiosine pigment, 5-10.0. Use of biological prodigiosine pigment as colorant of polymeric composition makes it possible to widen range of raw materials for preparation of colorant, and assortment of coloring compositions.
