Summary: | FIELD: sealing engineering; sealing cylindrical surfaces of joints suffering varying temperatures and pressures, such as process channels of pressurized- tube reactors. SUBSTANCE: seal that has stack of alternating flexible layers of metal and filler is proposed to use binary internal metal layers for relative sliding of layers against mating surfaces. Metal layers in multilayer cylindrical seal are proposed to be made in the form of -shaped sections; mating metal layers may have different thickness of flexible vanes; in addition, each metal and filler layer is coated with flexible, corrosion-resistant antifriction material and plastic material is used as filler. EFFECT: improved reliability of sealing process channels of nuclear reactors. 5 cl, 4 dwg |
