Summary:FIELD: instrumentation engineering. SUBSTANCE: flowmeter may be used for measuring the volume or flow of gas supplied to consumer at low pressure and flow rate of 0.01 to 10 cu.m/h. Flowmeter has body with inlet and outlet branch pipes, support with tapered surface secured in body, sensing element in form of cone with shaft to which turbine and recording device are secured. To form upper gas support of sensing element, external surface of cone is provided with helical grooves and support, with axially symmetric holes made at angle of 44-46 deg. to cone axis. To form lower gas support, flowmeter is provided with stationary base having radial holes, and turbine is positioned with circular clearance relative to base variable in value. Turbine is fitted with tangential holes. Due to clearance fit of sensing element cone on tapered surface of support, sensing element cone has also function of check valve. EFFECT: higher sensitivity and low flow rate, enhanced reliability and small dimensions. 1 dwgn
