Summary:FIELD: communication, in particular, transmission of digital information through wired communication channels, such as local-area networks. SUBSTANCE: method involves setting duration of unit time interval t, splitting source sequence of binary characters into blocks each of which ha m characters by transmitting party, amplification of received signal by receiving party and use of additional time interval which duration tau conforms to condition , where tau is duration of additional interval, t is duration of unit interval which is equal to minimal duration of signal elements in channel, m is number of binary characters in m-character block. In addition generation of signal for transmission through communication channel involves assignment of character blocks to two-level signal elements, so that difference between levels defines boundaries for adjacent elements. duration of signal elements depends on m-character block value by equation Ti= tau(2m+Ki), where i is index of m-character block: = 1, 2, 3,..., taui is duration of i-th signal element; Ki is numerical value of i-th m-character block; it belongs to series of values 0, 1, 2, ..., (2m-1). Upon receiving, after amplification, method involves recovery of rectangular shape of signal elements and counting number of additional tau intervals in each element in binary code and subtraction of 2 from this result. EFFECT: increased speed, simplified design. 3 dwgN
