PROCEDURE OF TRANSFORMER OIL DEGRADATION ON THE BASIS OF POLYCHLORINATED BIPHENYLS BY OLEUM

Degradation procedure of transformer oil based on polychlorinated biphenyl (Aroclor 1260) oleum in the presence of iron sulphates is carried out in two stages. The first stage of degradation procedure, that includes sulphatation of the mixture of transformer oil in the presence of iron(II)-sulphate, distinctive according to the simplicity of procedure, a slight energy consumption and efficiency of degradation up to 99,9981%. At the next procedural stage, carried out with mixing of products of the first stage with calcium-hydroxide achieves extraordinary efficient degradation (99,99975%), implying herewith possibility of a safe laying off of degradation products (concentration 0,300-0,675 ppm) into environment. By increasing a contact time with calcium-hydroxy up to ten days a complete degradation procedure is achieved.
