Summary:Biocompatible composite hydroxyapatite/chitosan/graphene coatings on titanium were obtained using the method consisting of chemical surface pretreatment and electrophoretic deposition of hydroxyapatite/chitosan/graphene coatings from ethanol suspensions at constant applied voltage. Electrophoretic deposition is effective method of uniform coating formation, as well as the control of thickness and morphology of the final product. The incorporation of chitosan and small quantity od graphene should reduce the coating brittleness and enhance the mechanical properties. Due to their bioactivity and non-cytotoxicity, hydroxyapatite/chitosan/graphene coatings on titanium can be used as dental and orthopedic implants for hard tissues in all applications in which these implants are utilized (e.g. stomatology, medicine, veterinary, tissue engineering). Biokompatibilne kompozitne prevlake hidroksiapatit/hitozan/grafen na titanu su dobijene postupkom koji uključuje pripremu površine titana hemijskim putem i elektroforetsko taloženje hidroksiapatit/hitozan/grafen prevlake iz etanolske suspenzije na konstantnom naponu. Ovaj postupak je efikasan način dobijanja uniformne prevlake uz kontrolu debljine i morfologije finalnog proizvoda. Inkorporacija hitozana i male količine grafena u hiroksiapatit treba da smanji krtost prevlake i povećava mehanička svojstva. Zbog dokazane bioaktivnosti i netoksičnosti, prevlake hidroksiapatit/hitozan/grafen na titanu se mogu koristiti kao dentalni i ortopedski implanti koštanog tkiva, i to u svim primenama u kojima se ovi implanti koriste (npr. stomatologija, medicina, veterina, inženjerstvo tkiva).
