Summary:Dibenzyl amine compounds and derivatives, pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds and the use of such compounds to elevate certain plasma lipid levels, including high density lipoprotein-cholesterol and to lower certain other plasma lipid levels, such as LDL-cholesterol and triglycerides and accordingly to treat diseases which are exacerbated by low levels of HDL cholesterol and/or high levels of LDL-cholesterol and triglycerides, such as atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases in some mammals, including humans. Jedinjenja i derivati dibenzil amina, farmaceutske kompozicije koje sadrže ta jedinjenja i upotreba tih jedinjenja za povećavanje vrednosti izvesnih lipida plazme, uključujući lipoprotein-holesterol velike gustine, i za snižavanje vrednosti nekih drugih lipida plazme, kao što su LDL-holesterol i trigliceridi i u skladu sa tim, za lečenje oboljenja koja se pogoršavaju nižim vrednostima HDL holesterola i/ili višim vrednostima LDL holesterola i triglicerida, kao što su ateroskleroza i kardiovaskularne bolesti kod nekih sisara, uključujući ljude.
