PROCEDE D'OBTENTION DES FIBRES ACRYLIQUES MODIFIEES

The process comprises treatment of a binary copolymer (90.5:9.3 acrylonitrile : methyl methacrylate) produced by catalysed polymerisation. This gives lengths far in excess of 11 dtex with 1.95-25 gf/dtex and a 65 per cent loop strength. The solvent is ethylene carbonate, and the process gives decrea...

Summary:The process comprises treatment of a binary copolymer (90.5:9.3 acrylonitrile : methyl methacrylate) produced by catalysed polymerisation. This gives lengths far in excess of 11 dtex with 1.95-25 gf/dtex and a 65 per cent loop strength. The solvent is ethylene carbonate, and the process gives decreased harmful emissions. The coagulated filaments are drawn in gel form at 1:1 to 1:5 and in the dry state at 1:1.3.
