Summary:The invention relates to a process for preparing microencapsulated biogenic 1,3-propanediol to be used as food additive. According to the invention, the process consists in cultivating Klebsiella pneumoniae strain DSMZ 2026 for the biosynthesis of 1,3-propanediol (1,3-PD), isolating and purifying it from the culture medium and microencapsulating the biogenic 1,3-PD in maltodextrin matrix using the spray drying technique, to result in an extrafine 1,3-PD powder having a particle size of about 20 μm. Inveenţia se referă la un procedeu de obţinere a 1,3-propandiolului biogenic microîncapsulat utilizat ca aditiv alimentar. Procedeul, conform invenţiei, constă în cultivarea tulpinii Klebsiella pneumoniae DSMZ 2026 pentru biosinteza 1,3-propandiol (1,3-PD), izolarea şi purificarea 1,3-PD din mediul de cultivare şi microîncapsularea 1,3-PD biogenic în matrice de maltodextrină prin tehnica uscării prin pulverizare, rezultând o pulbere extrafină de 1,3-PD cu o dimensiune a particulei de aproximativ 20 μm.
