Summary:The invention relates to a photovoltaic plant to be used for solar energy conversion. According to the invention, the plant consists of a folding photovoltaic panel (1) which consists of a number of platelike panels (7) and is articulated on a support shaft (2) located inside of a rotary housing (3), the platelike panels (7) being deployed, in their operational state, by means of some corrugated tubes (18) filled with gas, having high dilating properties upon heating by solar rays concentrated by a lens (24) placed in a disc (23) which is kinematically linked to each platelike panel (7), they being folded, for protection in case of high wind velocities, by means of a bladed wheel (13) mounted at the top part (4) of the support shaft (2), its shaft being rigidly connected by a screw-nut transmission gear (12) which actuates a piston (11) that releases the connections between the platelike panels (7) and the support shaft (2), thereby ensuring their folding by means of some resilient elements (19). The rotation of the rotary housing (3) is converted, by means of the end of a profiled surface (31) made on the flange of the rotary housing, into a spherical-spatial motion of the photovoltaic panel (1) about the spherical joint (6), thereby ensuring optimal discrete orientation of the photovoltaic panel (1) towards the sun.
