Summary:The invention relates to a process for bio-testing strigolactone analogues in respect of their capacity of inducing/stimulating the production of volatile bioactive compounds in the microorganisms associated to crop plants. According to the invention, the process comprises the following stages: aseptic distribution of a hydro-jellified culture medium with a triblock copolymer and homogenization of strigolactone analogues in a plate with 24 wells, the inoculation of the agarized medium with microorganisms beneficial to the plants which produce volatile compounds and which positively respond to strigolactones, the plate covering and incubation for 48 h at 25°C, the placement of the plate wherein the isolates to be tested developed onto an identical plate with the biological system in respect of which the biologically-active volatile compounds are tested, the incubation of the joined plates for 2...7 days at 25°C, the determination of the effect upon the bio-testing system and the identification of the strigolactone analogues which produced the said effect.
