Summary: | The invention relates to a mobile detector for measuring the flow of muons coming from the cosmic radiation. According to the invention, the detector consists of two detection modules, each module having 4 sheets (1) of plastic scintillator, comprising 80% polystyrol and 20% methylmethacrylate, each sheet (1) being provided with 13 longitudinal grooves (2), 12 of them having optical fiber inserted, the luminous signal obtained from the interaction of the radiation with the plastic scintillator of each sheet (1) being read by means of a photo-multiplier (3), the so-formed assembly being mounted inside a protective box (4), fixed with some attaching elements (5 and 6).
Invenţia se referă la un detector mobil pentru măsurarea fluxului de miuoni proveniţi din radiaţia cosmică. Detectorul conform invenţiei este alcătuit din două module de detecţie, fiecare modul având 4 foi (1) de scintilator plastic, cuprinzând 80% polistirol şi 20% metilmetacrilat, fiecare foaie (1) fiind prevăzută cu 13 şanţuri (2) longitudinale, 12 dintre acestea având inserată fibră optică, semnalul luminos obţinut în urma interacţiei radiaţiei cu scintilatorul plastic al fiecărei foi (1) fiind citit cu ajutorul câte unui fotomultiplicator (3), ansamblul astfel format fiind montat într-o cutie (4) de protecţie, prin fixare cu ajutorul unor elemente (5 şi 6) de prindere. |
