The invention relates to a device for walking, such as a walking-stick, a crutch or a four-leg walking frame, used depending on the user's necessities, for assisting the transfer from the sitting position to orthostatism and from orthostatism to the sitting position, respectively, and for assisting in stairs climbing. According to the invention, the device has a handle () included in a first mechanism () which, by means of some cables (), provides the unblocking of a second mechanism (), having as an effect the elongation/withdrawal of the rod of a lifting piston () and the blocking of the body of the piston () in an elongation position () and a shortening position (), respectively. Invenţia se referă la un dispozitiv pentru mers, de tip baston, cârjă sau cadru de mers cu patru picioare, folosit în funcţie de necesităţile utilizatorului, pentru asistarea transferului din poziţia şezând în ortostatism, respectiv, din ortostatism în poziţia şezând, şi pentru asistarea mersului pe scări. Dispozitivul conform invenţiei are o manetă () inclusă într-un prim mecanism (), care prin intermediul unor cabluri (), asigură deblocarea unui al doilea mecanism (), având ca efect alungirea/retragerea tijei unui piston () de ridicare şi blocarea corpului pistonului () într-o poziţie () de alungire, respectiv, într-o poziţie () de scurtare.
