According to the invention, the method consists in activating the surface of leather or fur with cold plasma at 12 kV/0.35 mA for 1...10 min, followed by impregnating by spraying with 20...150 ml/mof fireproofing composition comprising phosphor- and nitrogen-based substances and ionogenic agents meant to confer on the leather and fur high flame resistance while using halogen-free and environment-friendly techniques and materials. Invenţia se referă la o metodă de tratare a unor piei şi blănuri. Metoda conform invenţiei constă din activarea suprafeţei pieilor sau blănurilor cu plasmă rece la 12kV/0,35 mA, timp de 1...10 min, urmată de impregnarea prin pulverizare cu 20...150ml/mc compoziţie de ignifugare, formată din substanţe pe bază de fosfor şi azot şi agenţi ionogeni, prin care se asigură pieilor şi blănurilor rezistenţă avansată la flacără, în condiţiile utilizării unor tehnici şi materiale fără halogeni şi care nu poluează mediul.
