Summary:The invention relates to a sheathed electrode for oxygen arc cutting, especially meant for the quick cutting of metal pieces. According to the invention, the electrode comprises a strand of twisted steel wires sheathed in a pressure pipe having certain deformations for attaching the electrode and for making some nozzles wherethrough the oxygen jet required for cutting can pass. The steel wire of the strand has a chemical composition of 0.2% carbon at the most, 0.8% manganese at the most, 0.07% silicon at the most, 0.06% phosphorus at the most and 0.06 sulphur at the most, the percentage being expressed by weight. Invenţia se referă la un electrod învelit, pentru tăiere oxiarc, destinat în special tăierii rapide a pieselor metalice. Electrodul conform invenţiei este alcătuit dintr-un toron format din fire de sârmă din oţel, răsucite, învelit într-o ţeavă de presiune deformată în anumite locuri, pentru prinderea electrodului şi pentru crearea unor duze prin care să treacă jetul de oxigen necesar tăierii. Sârma de oţel, din care este format toronul, are o compoziţie chimică exprimată în procente de greutate, de maximum 0,2% carbon, maximum 0,8% mangan, maximum 0,07% siliciu, maximum 0,06% fosfor şi maximum 0,06% sulf.
