Summary:The invention relates to a process for preparing collagenic foam, used as a biocompatible biomaterial with controllable resorption, revascularization implant, bandage for the treatment of burns or cosmetic product. According to the invention, the process consists in mixing 100 parts of solubilized collagen solution having an intrinsic viscosity [eta] = 5...10 dl/g, at a pH=7 and a temperature of 25° C, having a pH=6...8, a concentration of 0.5...2.5% with 5...15 parts of solution of styrene copolymer and maleic anhydride, with [eta] =0.25...0.75 dl/g in ethyl acetate, having a concentration of 0.1...1.5% at a temperature of 25° C and 1...13 parts of ammonium dodecylbenzene sulphonate solution having a concentration of 1%, successively dosing the compounds, then subjecting the system to mixing at a rotative speed of 500...1,000 rot/min, at a temperature ranging from 5...15° C, for 60...120 min, adding 5...15 parts of ammonium bicarbonate, stirring for 90...180 min in the same conditions, adding 4...8 parts of a solution of chlorine hydride in ethyl alcohol of a concentration of 1N, and mixing continuously for 30...60 min, an then stopping the stirring, leaving the mixture to rest for 30 min, draining the liquid phase, and shaping by moulding the collected foam at a thickness ranging from 1 to 10 mm, drying it in warm-air stream having a temperature ranging from 35 to 40° C and a speed of 5...15 m/s.
