Summary:The present invention refers to an air cooler with water used inside equipment such as centrifugal air compressors. According to the invention, the air cooler is made up of a central tube (1) with an upstream disk (2) mounted at one end and a downstream disk (3) mounted at the other, in between which there are baffle plates (4) fixed axially at equal distances from each other by means of spacers (5), which are mounted on tie rods (6) with both ends threaded and provided with retaining nuts (7). A maximum number of cooling elements (A) are mounted by air-tight adhesion in between the two disks, crossing the baffle plates (4). These elements are covered at the exterior by a jacket (12) which has two rectangular orifices (c) with a soft seal (13) mounted around each of them, in a cooling water circuit. The air circuit is sealed inside a casing (15), by tightening the upstream disk (2) and the downstream disk (3) axially, by means of O-ring joints (14).
