Summary: | According to this invention, the cooling installation for lasers with solid active medium and high repetition frequency, allows the dissipation of the residual heat in the laser's head, through a cooling liquid, pulled by a centrifugal pump towards a liquid-liquid type heat exchanger. In the heat exchanger, the cooling liquid circulates through a serpentine, releasing the heat in a volatile liquid, which, forced to evaporate, eliminates it in the environment as latent vaporization heat. The portable system allows power dissipation of 200-300w, with intermittent or continuous functioning for an hour without being recharged with volatile liquid. The volatile liquid is non-toxic and non-flammable. The system permits an efficient cooling of the laser head at repetition frequency of more than 15 Hz, in an environment temperature range from 40 to 60 degrees C. |
