Summary:The process comprises spinning and melting of granules of mol. wt. 20000-24000 with 0.640-0.660 intrinsic viscosity, dried in a fluidised bed at 160+-20 deg.C. The resulting filaments are drawn with air cooling at 20-24 deg.C at 80+-10% relative humidity. Wetting with antistatic agent and coiling at up to 1200 m/minute are followed by drawing (from 1:4.2 - 1:4.4) at 500+-50 m/minute in the temp. range 190+-5 deg.C.
