Summary: | The present invention relates to a microencapsulated chlorpyrifos or endosulfan composition comprising a polyurea shell and one or more photostable ultraviolet and visible light absorbent compound having a log molar extinction coefficient of from about 2 to 5 with respect to radiation having wave lengths in the range of about 310 to 450 nanometers, wherein said photostable ultraviolet and visible light absorbent compound does not react with the monomer used in building the polyurea shell. The result is a microencapsulated composition having unexpected long, extended insecticidal activity with high toxicity to target species and very low toxicity to non-target animals. |
