The reflector has an enclosing projection (6). The secondary optics has a coating of alumina and reflector interior has a protective coating which contains alumina, silicon carbide or silicon oxide. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a light absorbing or light emitting semiconductor component, which has secondary optics; and (2) a method for the production of a semiconductor component.
