Summary: | O PRESENTE PEDIDO DE PATENTE DIVULGA UM MÉTODO NÃO INVASIVO PARA A AVALIAÇÃO DAS PRINCIPAIS VIAS DE BIO-HIDROGENAÇÃO RUMINAL DE LÍPIDOS EM OVINOS JOVENS DURANTE A ENGORDA, COM BASE NA COMPOSIÇÃO DE GORDURA DAS FEZES. O MÉTODO DIVULGADO NESTE DOCUMENTO ENVOLVE A RECOLHA DE AMOSTRAS DE FEZES DE CORDEIRO, SECAGEM DE BIOMASSA, A PREPARAÇÃO DE ÉSTERES METÍLICOS DE ÁCIDOS GORDOS, ANÁLISE DA COMPOSIÇÃO DE ÁCIDOS GORDOS POR CROMATOGRAFIA GASOSA (GC) E A IDENTIFICAÇÃO DOS PRINCIPAIS ISÓMEROS DE ÁCIDOS GORDOS RESULTANTES DA BIO-HIDROGENAÇÃO RUMINAL E EXCRETADOS PELOS CORDEIROS NAS FEZES. O PERFIL DE ÁCIDOS GORDOS DOS PRINCIPAIS ISÓMEROS OCTADECENOICOS DE BIO-HIDROGENAÇÃO NAS FEZES REFLETE COM ALTA PRECISÃO A PROPORÇÃO DOS ISÓMEROS CORRESPONDENTES NO RÚMEN E ESTA INFORMAÇÃO É ÚTIL PARA PREVER A COMPOSIÇÃO DE ÁCIDOS GORDOS DA CARNE DE CORDEIRO.
The present patent application discloses a non-invasive method for the evaluation of main pathways of rumen biohydrogenation of lipids in young sheep during fattening, based on the fat composition of faeces. The method disclosed herein involves the collection of samples of lamb faeces, biomass drying, the preparation of fatty acid methyl esters, analysis of fatty acid composition by gas chromatography (GC) and the identification of the major fatty acids isomers resulting from rumen biohydrogenation and excreted by the lambs in the faeces. The fatty acid profile of the main biohydrogenation octadecenoic isomers in feces reflect with high accuracy the proportion of the corresponding isomers in rumen and this information is useful to predict fatty acid composition of lamb meat. |
