Summary:Each fiber length (52) has a conveyor in a guide-duct (16), and a trimmer (19) for removing excess fibers from the fiber length. At least one side wall (58a.58b) of the guide-duct, in the form of a moving belt, moves along with the length of fiber and contains cavities (62a,62b) for reinforcing sections (52a) of the fiber length. The speed at which the side wall moves is synchronized by a control unit. The trimmer consists of two contrary-rotating discs (68a,68b) and truncated -cone-shaped rotary bodies (70) acting as deflectors.
