Summary:Process of agglomeration of poorly soluble and hydrolysis sensitive materials in which the material, in powder form, is allowed to fall, together with a water-soluble powdered binding material, into a steam atmosphere at 85-105 degrees C. where it spends 0.5-10 seconds. Further free-fall takes place during which drying occurs and contact between primary particles is caused by liquid bridges in the condensate (in which the binding material is dissolved) and only a small amount due to solid bridges. Final drying involves an integrated flow-bed system and the product has a water content of less than 5 (preferably less than 1) wt.%.
