Summary:The catalytic burner (10) has a mixing chamber (24), a combustion air supply arrangement for supplying of combustion air to the mixing chamber, a fuel supply arrangement for supplying of fuel to the mixing chamber and a catalyzer arrangement (46) with a catalyzer unit (48). The catalyzer arrangement is arranged downstream the mixing chamber and the catalyzer unit is flow-throughable by the fuel-combustion air mixture. The fuel supply arrangement receives a liquid fuel from a fuel supply line (34) and comprises porous evaporator arrangement (28) emitting fuel vapor in the mixing chamber. The catalyzer unit comprises a grid-like carrier with catalyzer material at its surface.
