Phosphoric acid ester compounds (I) are new. Phosphoric acid ester compounds of formula (I) or their salts are new. R1-R4 : R-O-(S1O)a-(EO)b-(P1O)c-(B1O)d- or OH, where at least one of R1-R4 is not OH; S1O : 2-phenylpropoxy; EO : -CH2-CH2-O-; P1O : -CH(CH3)-CH2-O-; B1O : -CH(CH2CH3)-CH2-O-; a : 2.2-10; b : 3-20; c : 0-10; d : 0-10; and R : 8-20C alkyl (optionally branched and optionally saturated). Independent claims are also included for: (1) preparing (I); (2) a cleaning- and/or care formulation comprising phosphoric acid ester compounds of formula (Ia) and/or their salts; and (3) use of phosphoric acid ester compounds of formula (Ib) and/or their salts, (I) or the formulation for producing gloss on a surface.
