Summary:The present invention relates to an improved process of controlling a hydroformylation process for producing normal (N) and iso (I) aldehydes at a N:I ratio, the process comprising contacting an olefinically unsaturated compound with synthesis gas and a catalyst comprising a transition metal and an organopolyphosphite and an organomonophosphite ligand, the contacting conducted in a reaction zone operated at hydroformylation conditions, the improvement comprising feeding the synthesis gas to the reaction zone at a constant rate after having established a new syngas partial pressure target.
