Summary: | The lens has a radial cross-section comprising an edge area that is formed on an inner surface (1) of the lens and provided between a turning point (6) and an outer edge, where a convex contour is formed in the outer edge with a radius of 0.1-10 mm. An outer peripheral part of the lens exhibits an irregularity such that a mean square deviation of the outer peripheral part is associated with a circular line mean square deviation of about 5000 micro meter square, where width of the edge area of the lens lies within a range of 0.01-0.1 mm. The lens is treated with a polar liquid. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a silicone contact lens. |
