Summary:The method for preparation of radiolabelled radioisotope-chelating polymer nanoparticles, optionally with their surface modified with specific molecules targeting particular type of cancer cells and/or cancer extracellular space, allowing for their storage, the method comprising addition of hydrophobic diamines, wherein a chelator molecule is attached to a free amine group of diamine via an amide bond. Radiolabelled polymeric nanoparticles chelating radioisotopes prepared in the claimed method, optionally having their surface modified with specific molecules targeting to specific types of cancer cells, and the use thereof in diagnostics and therapy.
