Summary:The invention relates to a device for determining wheel and/or axle loads and/or overall weights of road vehicles driving on roads having road surfaces (17), comprising a measurement section (1) having a plurality of measurement fields (4), each having at least one force detector (10), which is disposed in a hollow body (11), particularly made of metal, for mechanical protection, wherein the force detectors (10) are connected to a data processing system (7), and furthermore detectors (5) for wheels and/or axles and/or vehicles are provided in the regions in front of and behind the measurement section (1), wherein the hollow body (11) is divided in the longitudinal direction into an upper and a lower limb (12, 16), (with respect to the load direction), by a joint (14), particularly a continuous joint, and the upper and lower limbs (12, 16) are configured flexibly with respect to each other along the joint (14).
