Summary: | A radio transmitter circuit comprises a power amplifier (12) a lineariser circuit (10) for maintaining linearity in the power amplifier (12) and a feedback circuit (13) for feeding back a signal from an output of the power amplifier (12) to the linearising means for maintaining linearity, said power amplifier (12), lineariser circuit and feedback circuit forming a loop having adjustable loop linearisation parameters (for example phase and gain). A look-up table (19) is provided for storing predetermined loop linearisation parameters and a linear controller (18), coupled to the look-up table and the loop. The linear controller selects a loop linearisation parameter in response to a transmit control signal according to an operating condition input, such as battery level, frequency or temperature, at the time of receipt of the transmit control signal. Figure 2 shows an arrangement for detecting adjacent channel interference. |
