The invention relates to equipment (1) that allows the user to stand, glide and propel himself or herself on or over the surface of the water. Said equipment comprises at least one floating element (10, 50) with at least one device for supporting one or more shoes (2) and/or feet of a person using the equipment and/or for connection to at least one drive device (82) that mechanically and/or electrically drives said equipment. The floating element (10, 50) has an essentially planar configuration and comprises at least one underside that is capable of gliding on the surface of the water. Said underside (15, 54) is provided with one or more displacement elements (20, 21, 22, 28, 29, 41) that run obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the equipment and/or the drive device (82) comprises repulsion elements that project beyond the underside (93) of the floating element (90) for repelling the water. A paddle for said equipment comprises a head part (61) and a pole part (62), said parts (61, 62) being interconnectable or interconnected so that they can tilt and/or rotate or pivot in different directions.
