Summary:The method for the manufacture of at least one tobacco strand entails compacting a tobacco stream (4) containing tobacco fibers in the chamber (3) of a fluidized bed (2) in the direction of a fiber accelerating element. The fibers of the tobacco stream are accelerated in the effective area of a fiber acceleration element in the direction of a suction strand device. All the air carried into the fluidized bed chamber is led out through the suction strand device (14). The compacting of the tobacco stream is created through braking on the fluidized bed. An independent claim is included for a device (1) for the manufacture of at least one tobacco strand by the proposed method.
